Psychologists are not obliged to join a professional association; however there are 2 associations that do provide information to psychologists as well as the general public. Both organisations have a Find a Psychologist search facility on their respective websites; keep in mind that only members of the association will appear in the respective search databases.

Australian Association of Psychologists inc.
Professional association for all psychologists

Australian Psychological Society (APS)
The other professional association for psychologists

Believe in Change
The public website from APS, providing an overview of common problems and possible approaches that could be helpful in therapy, along with lots of useful links

Smiling Mind
Introduction to mindfulness and an overview of research into how this branch of thinking can help with many issues; includes a link to download its acclaimed app
